After four months of pitching, refining, and learning, OmicXHealth wrapped up the SCU Bronco Ventures Accelerator (BVA7) with an incredible win at Demo Day. It was an inspiring finale to a deeply transformative journey.
Participating in the BVA7 program at Santa Clara University has been both energizing and humbling. Over the course of the accelerator, we refined our vision for OmicXHealth, building an AI-powered cfDNA methylation platform for early cancer detection. With guidance from dedicated mentors, professors, and fellow founders through the Ciocca Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, we evolved from idea to impact, sharpening our mission and gaining a deeper understanding of what it takes to scale in health tech.
Demo Day marked the culmination of that work. It was an opportunity to share how software and genomics can come together to make early cancer screening more accessible and data-driven. Presenting alongside such diverse and purpose-driven founders was a reminder of the creativity, innovation, and resilience that define SCU’s entrepreneurial community.
To highlight the growing role of AI in innovation and storytelling, I’ve included a short video on NotebookLM. It shows how AI can bring ideas together, connect information, and inspire creative thinking, which are the same principles that guided our work at OmicXHealth during the accelerator.
One of the most exciting moments came from the Angel’s Playbook Challenge, a new initiative created by SCU’s Innovation Fellows. Each student received a virtual $100K to “invest” in Demo Day companies based on their own investment philosophies, whether founder-first, mission-driven, or market-focused. OmicXHealth was honored to take the top spot as the most invested-in company overall. Seeing our mission resonate with the next generation of innovators, especially around the role of AI in healthcare, was incredibly
rewarding.

As we close this chapter, I feel a deep sense of gratitude to the Ciocca Center, the Bronco Ventures team, and the Innovation Fellows for cultivating such a thoughtful and supportive program. I am also thankful for my mentors and fellow BVA7 founders for the encouragement, shared insights, and genuine support that made this experience so special.
This is only the beginning. Onward to what comes next for OmicXHealth and the future of AI-powered early cancer detection.
